On the main square there is a large parish church of the Assumption with a bell tower, the Town Lodge and the Chapel of St. Helena. Along the edge of the cliff there is a walled promenade, perfect for romantic evenings as it offers peace, quiet and a beautiful view of the small marina and the coastal promenade. A good start for getting to know the heritage of Omišalj is undoubtedly the local Lapidarium, a small collection of stone monuments that provides a comprehensive insight into the history of Omišalj.
